[with:] a colour photograph of the hat in Epstein’s London flat, Waddon House, Knightsbridge (110 x 85 mm), and a black and white photograph on heavy stock paper of a matador holding a similar hat, thought to be taken by Epstein on one of his frequent trips to Spain, inscribed on the verso in pencil in an unknown hand ‘Epstein 13’ (186 x 128.7 mm)

According to the vendor, this hat comes from the collection of Epstein’s personal assistant.
