此「甲級藍印」陳期逾半世紀，倉儲乾淨，品相上佳，餅身圓渾厚重，金黃芽毫分佈勻稱，葉質油光亮麗，聞之散發淡淡梅子香氣，雅致怡人。
五十年代，普洱茶私商經營時期結束，正式步入國營時期中國茶葉公司雲南省公司開創「八中茶標誌」的印刷包裝，當時茶品種類不多，流轉至今，以紅印及藍印為其中的佼佼者。藍印圓茶是勐海茶廠生產的經典茶品，綠色茶字商標印刷，一般稱為「大字綠印」，後因外包裝遮蓋「甲、乙級」字眼的藍色藥水褪色，市場對此茶分級的說法各異，藍印的稱謂亦不逕而走，級別的爭論更令藍印聲名大噪。觀乎條索的粗幼分配、茶質而言，不論外包是何者，均屬同時期產物。
甲級藍印在市場上曝光度較稀少，評價不遜色於同期的紅印圓茶，深受收藏家的青徠，具存藏及品飲價值。
