George Boothby's maker's mark has a bird above his initials, probably as a reference to his address “at the Parrot in the Strand”. Also he enters his first mark on 1 March 1720, Britannia Standard, which the offered pair has, and his second mark on 4 August 1720, Sterling Standard.
