Drawings by this distinctive hand were usually attributed to Karel van Mander III or Jan Philipsz. van Bouckhorst, until Marijn Schapelhouman recognised the connection between drawings from this group in the Rijksmuseum and stained glass windows in Oudshorn, designed by Bouckhorst's pupil, Pieter Jansz. From this starting point, Schapelhouman built up a corpus of drawings by the artist.1 His drawings are rather rare.
