each a woodblock print, sumizuri-e, from the series Ten Great Disciples of the Buddha (Shaka judai deshi), and comprising:

- Maudgalyayana, Master of Supernatural Forces (Mokukenren no saku), mounted as a hanging scroll, signed vertically in pencil to the lower left in Japanese Nihon Shiko and in Roman script Munakata, sealed Shiko, dated 1959.10.8, and with artist’s pencilled pine needle mark

- Subhuti, Master of the Immaterial (Shubodai no saku), mounted as a hanging scroll, with hiragana seal Munakata, and further red seal

- Mahakasyapa, Master of Discipline (Makakayo no saku), sealed Muna

- Sariputra, Master of Wisdom (Sharibotsu no saku), mounted as a hanging scroll, signed to the lower left in Japanese Shiko and in Roman script Munakata, sealed Muna Shiko, and with artist’s pencilled pine needle and field chrysanthemum (nogiku) mark)

-  Upali, Master of Vinaya, The Monastic Rules (Ubari no saku), sealed Muna Shiko and with further red seal

- Rahula, Master of the Esoteric (Ragora no saku), signed in pencil to the lower right in Japanese Shiko and in Roman script Munakata, sealed, and with artist’s pencilled pine needle and field chrysanthemum (nogiku) mark
