Vecchi, Orazio and Geminiano Capilupi
Canzonette a tre voci... novamente poste in luce [Canto part only], Venice: Angelo Gardano, 1597
4to (23.5 x 17cm), title within woodcut border and with woodcut printer's device, woodcut initials, type-set music, Dolmetsch Library stamp and pencil shelfmark ("II C 21") to verso of title-page, loose in later brown paper wrapper, title-leaf slightly damaged with slight loss, last few leaves torn along central fold, some staining, some edges frayed
The Modenese composers Vecchi and his pupil Capilupi were prolific composers of madrigals and sacred music. They were successive maestri di cappella at Modena cathedral.
