1 leaf, 81 pages, oblong 4to (c.24 x 34.5cm), engraved throughout, plate numbers 488 and 489, title-page of second book on p.30, early ownership inscription to titles ("Edw. Hodgson 1750"), early doodles of a horse on last page, a few modern annotation in blue crayon, Dolmetsch Library stamp and pencil shelfmark ("II C 22") to verso of title, later wrappers, old repair to upper outer corner of last leaf, browning to edges, dust-staining to title of first book
The Op.1 sonatas were first published in Dresden in 1721.
