unframed (window): 24.5 by 32cm.; 9¾ by 12½in.

We are grateful to Ian Massey and Anthony Hepworth for their kind assistance with the cataloguing of the present work, and to Gerard Hastings, who is currently working on Keith Vaughan: The Graphic Art to be published by Pagham Press, for preparing the catalogue entry.

The sheet appears sound and is hinged to the mount with a strip of tape along the upper edge. The edges are unevenly cut, not visible in the present mount. Generally in very good overall condition.

Sheet undulates slightly. A few minor creases including along the top and bottom edges. A possible tiny fleck of loss along the top edge. The sheet is time stained and the pigments may be slightly discoloured. A few spots of foxing.

The work is window mounted and held behind glass in a painted wooden frame.

Please email bryn.sayles@sothebys.com if you have any questions regarding the present work.
