Both panels are uncradled, stable, and beveled on all four edges. They both have a very faint concave bow. Both paintings read well and present lovely images beneath a yellowed varnish, and they appear to be in overall good condition. There are a few very faint minor and small scratches and a few pin dots of loss, mostly concentrated near the edges. Inspection under UV reveals restoration that is isolated and largely cosmetic. The fine and well-applied strokes are small and scattered and some only address strengthening. Some additional scattered small spots here and there in the sky, and some spots near the edges. The paintings may benefit from a clean varnish, but they are otherwise ready to hang. Offered in a pair of matching modern gilt frames with decorative elements and some nicks and losses.

This charming pair of landscapes seem to draw inspiration from the collaborative works by Pieter Bout and Adriaen Frans Boudewijns, though in style they come close to the hand of Marc Baets.
