signed and dated Conor 1919 (lower right)

oil on canvas

unframed: 125 by 76cm.; 49 by 30in.

framed: 141 by 90cm.; 55½ by 35½in.

Executed in 1919.

Original canvas. The work appears in very good overall condition with a rich, impastoed surface. There is a small hairline crack located to the right of the raised hand holding the flag pole. There are some minor instances of caquelure elsewhere, only visible upon very close inspection. Under ultraviolet light there appear to be no signs of retouching. Held under glass in a gilt wood frame; unexamined out of frame. Please email charlie.minter@sothebys.com if you have any questions regarding the present work.
