Jeté de fleurs
signed Marie Laurencin (upper right) and stamped with the monogram (lower right)
oil on board
22 by 27cm., 8¾ by 10⅝in.
Framed: 32.1 by 37.1cm., 12⅝ by 14⅝in.
The board is sound and there do not appear to be any signs of retouching visible under UV light. The board is very slightly bowed. There are two artist's pinholes to the upper left corner, as well as one to the lower right corner. There are some fine lines of paint shrinkage in places, predominantly to the grey-blue pigment in the lower right quadrant. There is a small paint loss to the extreme upper left corner with an associated fine line of craquelure and a loss to the extreme right corner, not visible when framed. There is a vertical accretion (approx. 1.5cm), to the left part of the lower edge, likely inherent from the artist's studio. This work is in overall good condition.
