Overall in very good condition. This beautiful sculpture by François-Xavier Lalanne consists of a sturdy base and an adjustable and removable orb enhanced with a delicate sculpture of a blue bird. The blue patina on the Oiseau presents with some gentle rubbing, small areas of minimal discoloration and spotty oxidation marks, all consistent with age. The recessed areas around the bird’s feet with very minimal calcareous residue consistent with age as well. The darker patinated surfaces are in well-preserved condition throughout and present with variegated hues ranging from dark russet brown to copper. The underside of the base includes a protective felt pad.
