Overall in very good condition. The patinated bronze base in the shape of a sculptural serpent presents with a variegated patina ranging from dark green to russet brown. The bronze presents with very minor casting irregularities which are inherent to production. The patina shows occasionally irregular application and displays discoloration concentrated to the upper half and edges of the snake, which partially reveal the bronze undersurface. The marble top and base present with surface scratches throughout, consistent with use. The marble top with one small area of loss to one edge measuring approximately 1/2 inch long and not visually distracting. The mirror presents with faint surface scratches throughout as well as extremely small areas of loss to the reverse of the mirror plate on the bottom right side and top edge. A dynamic and highly sculptural console ensemble by Cheuret with very elegant proportions.
