These discs are remarkable for being very thinly and finely cut and for their unusual colour. Compare a green jade disc of similar form, with square outline and circular hole, excavated from a tomb at Sanguan Dianzi, Lingyuan, Liaoning province and now in the Liaoning Provincial Museum, illustrated in Mou Yongkang & Yun Xizheng, eds, Zhongguo yuqi quanji [Complete series on Chinese jades], vol. 1, Shijiazhuang, 1993, pl. 4.
