A large pale celadon jade archaistic vase

Qing dynasty, 18th-19th century


shaped after an archaic bronze vessel, the pear-shaped body quartered on each side with high rounded ridges dividing the sides into four panels and flanked by two lug handles at the neck, the buff coloured jade with paler cloudy inclusions and a fine polish
