from the lid of an inner coffin, wearing a broad beaded collar, braided beard, and wide tripartite wig, his face with full lips rounded at the corners, and large eyes with long tapering eyebrows and cosmetic lines.

Height 53 cm.

Made from several planks of wood. The joins reinforced in the back with cement. Fitted in the back for mounting on the wall. Minor cracks to the gesso and painted decoration including above each ear and on proper right side of the beard. Some staining to the blue pigment of the wig. Note chips to lips and slight damage to the nose. Minor losses to the layer of gesso on the back of the proper left shoulder.
