Vase

circa 1968

porcelain with manganese and white glaze and with unglazed horizontal bands

with the artist’s cypher

6 ⅞ in. (17.4 cm) high

7 in. (17.8 cm) diameter

Overall in very good condition. This tall and slender vase combines a beautiful white glaze with a rich manganese top. The porcelain surface presents with very minor irregularities inherent to the making and to the artist’s handmade technique. The interior of the bowl presents with two small areas of adhesive residue which are not visible unless inspected under UV light. This lot has been inspected under UV light and presents with no apparent evidence of restoration. An original and delicate form enhanced by a superb white glaze decoration around the rim.
