of spirally-fluted bombé form, the exterior painted with harbour and landscape scenes within gilt line shaped-qutrefoil cartouches, some divided by plaing vertical bands gilt with scrolling foliage, the underside of the box with a similar scene in eisenrot below a footrim with a blue, turquoise and yellow border, the interior of the cover paionted with a fête champêtre scenes after Watteau, the border and interior of the box richly gilt
