The work is executed on a sheet of plywood which is very slightly bowed and which shows minor losses to the top left corner. The edges are slightly uneven. There are a few minor horizontal cracks to both the support and overlying paint layer running across the door. Small paint chips are visible to the blue frieze above the door and to the foreground in the lower right. There are faint surface scratches in places, most notably to the sky in the upper right. Frame abrasions with minor associated paint loss as well as remnants of gold paint are visible along the edges. There is a light layer of surface dirt with spots of dirt in places. Inspection under UV light reveals no obvious signs of retouching. Framed.
