• Case: gold, the front with dark blue translucent guilloché enamel centred with a diamond-set American eagle with shield to its breast and surrounded by diamond-set stars, diamond-set foliate border, the back with crescent moon and star motif with diamond-set borders all against a dark blue translucent guilloché enamel ground, polished gold cuvette with milled border, gold pendant and bow, diamond-set crown, case makers mark JAD incuse, covers and cuvette numbered 17738 and with Neuchâtel hallmark, back cover additionally numbered 8550
