Nature morte au crabe
signé manguin (en bas à droite)
huile sur carton
38 x 46,1 cm; 15 x 18⅛ in.
Peint en 1938.
Oil on cardboard. The board is stable. There is a milky avrnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating. However examination under UV light appears to reveal no evidence of retouching. There are a few scattered flyspots and some dirt ingrained to the varnish, notably to the crab pincers. There is some frame rubbing along the extreme edges associated with a few tiny paint losses. This work is in overall very good condition and could benefit from a clean.
