"Minguren" Side Table

circa 1974

burled English oak, American black walnut

inscribed with the original owner's name

20 3/8  in. (51.8 cm) high

27 in. (68.5 cm) maximum diameter

Overall in very good condition. A superb example of Nakashima’s spectacular use of burled wood with great scale and color when viewed in person. The wooden surfaces appear to have been refinished at some point in the history of the piece and present with light surface scratches throughout and very minor edge wear consistent with gentle use and concentrated to the top and base. The tabletop with scattered and very minimal areas of filling and inpainting to the hairlines, likely inherent to production. The recessed areas with some light soiling.
