the angular sides flaring from a flat square base and sweeping to an undulating lobed rim, the center crisply molded with a duck with wings spread beneath two lush peony blossoms, enclosed within a border of small raised bosses, the sides each impressed with a unique leafy peony spray, all under a warm creamy glaze, the base unglazed to expose the white body
Length 4½ in., 11.5 cm
One corner (approx. 2.8x2.5 cm) has been restuck, leaving an approx. 1cm shallow chip to the exterior and another small shallow chip to the tip of the corner, and a visible crack and hairlines. Small nicks to the edges. A few minor firing imperfections such as raised bumps, iron spots, and impurities. Very minute surface wear.
