"Like most of the contemporary artists the gallery has come to handle, I was first introduced to the work of Vik Muniz as a collector. I started with a photograph from the Pictures of Chocolate series, and I've never stopped." - Edwynn Houk
Since its inception in 1977, Edwynn Houk Gallery has represented the leading figures of the Modernist movement, focusing in particular on vintage photographs from 1917-1939. Beginning with exclusive representation of Sally Mann in 1989, the gallery has expanded to serve a select group of leading contemporary photographers. Edwynn Houk has served on the Board of Directors for ADAA, Paris Photo, and AIPAD and the Selection Committees for Art Basel and Paris Photo.
