註:一九五二年八月,大千先生攜眷離港移家南美。本幅寫於壬辰七月,即公曆五二年八月下旬,應屬畫家行前所寫。畫中仕女倚篁靠石,頭略斜仰,凝視若有所思。開臉出諸細筆,其餘以半寫意法完成。設色與筆法相配,採淡墨寫竹、淺赭佈石、背景輕罩花青,僅仕女髻插紅花伴綠葉,繫勾金藍釵,雙唇敷硃,在淡色作基調的畫面中呈最鮮艷注目處。他在一九五一年夏寫〈脩竹美人〉贈女弟馮璧池以示筆法,該畫與本幅題材接近,除仕女面向相反、站坐不一外,畫法全出工筆細寫,這與題旨在示範畫法有關。由此觀之,本幅偏近抒情寫意,不拘限於細密嚴謹,流露的正是率性之情!

畫上見挖補痕迹,一九八五年臺北歷史博物館著錄中,已呈現貌,或為原物主挖走上款。

Generally in good condition. Light creases and foxing found on the painting, which can be improved by restoration. The dedication appears to be removed by the original owner. The present status is in line with the image in the National History Museum publication back in 1985.
