The most legendary western gunfight reported in the most famous Ghost Town newspaper. The Daily Territorial Enterprise accurately covered the the fabled showdown between outlaws Ike Clanton, Billy Clanton, Tom McLaury, Frank McLaury, and Billy Claiborne and lawmen Wyatt Earp, Virgil Earp, Morgan Earp, and Doc Holliday just two days after incident in Tombstone, Arizona.

"Four cowboys—Ike and Billy Clanton and Frank and Tom McLowery—have been parading the town for several days, drinking heavily and making themselves obnoxious. The City Marshal yesterday arrested Ike Clanton. Soon after his release the four met the Marshal and his brothers, Morgan and Wyatt Earp, and J. H. Holliday. The Marshal ordered them to give up their weapons, when a fight commenced. About thirty shots were fired rapidly. Both the McLowery boys were killed and Bill Clanton mortally wounded, dying soon after. Ike was slightly wounded and arrested. Morgan Earp was severely wounded in the shoulder, and Wyatt slightly. The others were unhurt."
