The canvas has been relined.

There is some scattered localised hairline craquelure. There are a few scattered small spots of paint loss, notably one near the centre, one in the foliage in the lower left, and some spots in the water towards the right. Some spots may benefit from localised consolidation however overall the artist's paint surface with its thick impasto appears to be stable.

There is a small puncture near the centre of the left edge, and a small repair (which has not been infilled) in the mountains in the upper centre, which is visible in the illustration but not visually distracting.

Ultra-violet light reveals a small stroke of retouching in the lower-right corner, and no other notable signs of retouching.
