STATUETTE DE JEUNE FEMME EN TERRE CUITE, SIGNÉE SAISHASHUN JAPON, ÉPOQUE TAISHO
日本 大正時期 美人陶像
A pottery figure of a seated woman, Japan, Taisho period, signed Saishashun
assise à sa toilette, les jambes sur le côté, son kimono noué à la taille et dévoilant sa poitrine, tenant un linge dans le dos, porte une signature de Saishashun
19,8 cm, 7¾ in.
There are few old chips around to the edge to the bottom of the figure, including a shallow chip of approx. 3 cm to the rear of the figure (showing on the e-cat). Please note that the figure can probably be dated of the Meiji period (1868-1912) and not Taisho, as stated in the catalogue.
