This work is executed on its original canvas and is not relined. Under close inspection, two losses of media are visible along the lower edge close to the left corner, one of which is due to the stretcher pushing against the canvas. Further close inspection reveals some small, scattered chips in the layer of paint along the edges at the rim. In the center of the composition towards the left, tiny uplifts in the brown paint are visible. The canvas in slightly wavy is some places, most notably along the lower edge. Under UV light inspection, traces of careful inpainting are visible along the outline of the black shape located in the upper left quadrant. This work is in good original condition.
