IMOGEN CUNNINGHAM | ALFRED STIEGLITZ
1883 - 1976
mounted, signed Imogen Cunningham and dated 1934 in pencil on the mount, the photographer's 1331 Green Street, San Francisco studio label, with typed title and date, on the reverse, framed
gelatin silver print
9 ¼ by 7 ¼ inches
(23.5 by 17.8 cm)
Executed in 1934, printed later.
While this gelatin silver print mounted to Strathmore illustration board has not been examined outside of its frame, it appears to be in generally excellent condition. Upon close examination in high raking light, a few scattered tiny deposits of original retouching are visible, as well as a small, soft, circular impression in the upper left corner of the image.
There is some minor soiling on the reverse of the mount, and 'IC-P-I' is written in an unidentified hand in pencil in the upper right corner.
