Overall in very good condition. This delicate and finely sculpted work presents with superb details and a smooth limestone surface. The sculpture presents with light scratches throughout as well as minor indentations concentrated to the edges of the base. The limestone presents with subtle color variations, with some very slightly darker hues on the upper body of the female figure. When inspected under blacklight, the sculpture appears to have received professional repatination treatment in scattered isolated areas which are concentrated to the face, arms and torso and appear slightly darker to the naked eye but are not visually distracting. The variegated marble base, perhaps original to the piece, is in very good condition overall and presents with expected signs of age. The top with surface scratches consistent with use. The edges of the base present with occasional and scattered indentations and superficial losses to the marble not affecting its functionality. This sculpture is absolutely breathtaking when viewed in person, displaying a stunning composition and beautiful lines and contouring.
