Overall in very good condition. This monumental urn combines a patinated bronze base with a colorful and enameled ceramic body in which is placed an electrified lighting system. The ceramic body presents with figurative motifs around the body in the form of three men and one woman riding a horse. The ceramic with slightly irregular glazing application inherent to production, minor scratches and areas of light discoloration throughout as well as minute pinholes concentrated to the upper half of the urn. When inspected under blacklight, the glazed ceramic surface presents with isolated and very minor instances of inpainting concentrated to the figurative elements of the urn, the largest on the tail of the horse measuring approximately 1/2 inch long. The gold enamel is in very good condition overall with occasional very minor instances of loss and discoloration. The patinated bronze base supporting the urn presents with faint surface scratches and very minor discoloration to the four upper edges. The metal inset on the inside of the urn shows some very minor movement and surface scratches throughout. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and suggests having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician. A masterwork by the artist displaying superb decoration and coloration.
