Overall in very good condition. When viewed in person, the blue agate presents with stunning color variations that add to the coupe’s artistic virtuosity. The agate with one stable indentation to the underside of the coupe measuring approximately 1/8 inch wide and not visually distracting. The enamel is in very well-preserved condition overall, with extremely minor irregularities in application which are inherent to production. The inside of the coupe with very fine surface scratches consistent with gentle use. The silver surfaces present with age-appropriate wear and very fine surface scratches. The silver surfaces have recently been polished by a professional conservator and present with a much cleaner and more luminous surface compared to the catalogue photography. A gorgeous object with illustrious historic provenance from the collection of the famous French fashion designer and art collector, Jacques Doucet.
