Overall in very good condition. The silver surfaces present with surface scratches and scuffing throughout as well as scattered areas of light oxidation concentrated to the edges and the interior of the case. The silver with very minimal tarnish concentrated to the edges and the interior of the case, which can be carefully polished at the client’s discretion. The edges of the piece present with occasional and minute indentations to the silver which are not visible unless closely inspected. The enamel surfaces present with very slightly irregular application and surface irregularities which are inherent to production and to the artist’s practice. Three of the four enameled sides of the lid present with slightly more golden hues to both the silver and enameled surfaces, which appear to be from a clear epoxy application. A superb cigarette case by Jean Goulden with abstract modernist motifs.
