A LOUIS XV-STYLE PATINATED AND GILT-BRONZE WILD BOAR MANTEL CLOCK, PART 18TH CENTURY


6¼-inch enamel dial signed Louis Brulfer A Paris, the bell striking movement with outside count wheel and verge escapement with silk suspension, the drum surmounted by rococo scrolls, flowers and trellis and mounted on the back of a well-modelled boar, on a boldly cast rocaille base

Condition Report

PROSPECTIVE PURCHASERS SHOULD INSPECT IN PERSON. Dial has chips to the left winding hole and a crack at XII. Movement appears to be complete but is not running and needs service and overhaul, pendulum replaced. The case is in generally god condition but appears to have been made up using some 18th century components together with some much later castings. With pendulum and winder.
