rectangular with rounded corners, the lid applied with an oval fixé sous verre miniature of a riverscape at sunset, French School, early 19th century, maker’s mark, town mark; together with a gilt-metal mounted marble snuff box, probably Italian, early 19^th century, circular, the lid applied with a miniature representing a ruined castle by the seaside, in the manner of Louis Gabriel Moreau, apparently unmarked
