1900 - 1988
signed Luigi Lucioni and dated 1948 (lower right)
oil on canvas
19 by 25 inches
(48.3 by 63.5 cm)
The canvas is strip-lined and the edges are covered with tape. There is frame abrasion at edges, a stretcher bar mark visible at top edge and scattered fine surface cracking. There are a few specks of possible paint loss next to the rocks to the right of the signature. Under UV: the work retains an uneven varnish but there is no apparent inpainting.
