Sophie Taeuber-Arp

Sophie Taeuber-Arp (1889–1943) was a Swiss artist who was instrumental in the early 20th-century European avant-garde, associated with the Dada and Constructivist movements. Born in Davos, Switzerland, Taeuber-Arp was a pioneer, diversifying her talents in painting, sculpture, dance, and textile design to blur boundaries between fine and applied arts. Her multidisciplinary approach, characterized by geometric abstraction and vibrant colors, challenged traditional art forms.
