Luxury, Streetwear & Sneaker Collector Vivian Frank talks about his relationship with Supreme as part of our series of interviews on The Supreme Vault: 1998-2018 online-only sale.

What does the brand Supreme mean to you?
The Supreme brand means to me is culture and community.

What got you into collecting Supreme?
Mainly the community similar to the sneaker community as well as how Supreme has different business model to other clothing brands with the releases and products they have and offer like their crazy accessories they offer. A lot of their accessories are great house decor like the Mini Bike and their clothing is greatly priced (retail) and many great graphics.

From your perspective, what makes Supreme so collectible?
More demand then there are quantities, which creates a resale market for their products which people collect as appreciating assets as well.

What was your first major Supreme memory?
Supreme x Louis Vuitton drop in London, me and few friends have camped over 24 hours for this release and it was poorly handled by big company like Louis Vuitton. Mainly, discrimination as they hid Box Logos from the store floor when they felt like there was no "resellers" in the store, meaning I had to pay resell for mine outside.

What are your 5-10 favorite Supreme accessories and why?
Supreme Coleman Mini Bike - Something that looks good when you display as well as lots of fun when used.
Supreme Utility Knife Keychain - Only reason why it's my favorite Supreme accessory is because I have been using it pretty much everyday to open parcels since when it released in FW15, so it's one of them very useful accessories.
Hot Wheels x Supreme - Loved Hot Wheels since young so this was a must
Smith x Supreme Ski Goggles - Another great practical accessory, waiting to one day go skiing to use them.
Medicom Toy x Supreme Kermit Kubrick Figure - I also collect Medicom Toys / Bearbricks this is another one I needed for collection, a Supreme x Medicom Toy collaboration is must for any toy collector.

What is your all-time favorite Supreme piece?
Supreme Coleman Mini Bike, if you compare to many other accessories it's nice big accessory a lot for your money. Nice decor and fun to use.

Favorite Supreme collection of all time?
Easily the Supreme x Louis Vuitton collection.

Why do you think Supreme has such high resale value?
More demand then supply meaning people have to pay the extra to be able to obtain items.

People go crazy for Supreme accessories - what makes them so appealing?
That not a lot of other brands offer crazy accessories like Supreme does, so I think it's a unique selling point for them as well as they're worth more than retail prices most the time, so great investments.

If you could only have one Supreme accessory, which would it be?
Hard one but I would say Supreme Utility Knife Keychain just as I use everyday and can't think of any other accessory that would be more practical if I was only to have one Supreme accessory.
