S otheby’s Restaurant at New Bond Street has relaunched with a new menu that celebrates the best in modern British cuisine – with a twist.

Led by talented head chef Myles Fensom, the restaurant brings together an exciting mix of seasonal produce and fresh ingredients for a weekly-changing menu that includes the signature lobster club sandwich.

Speaking after the recent relaunch, the head chef told us: “Sotheby’s Restaurant focuses upon bringing clean ingredients, subtle flavours and fresh seasonal produce to diners at great value for money for such a prominent Mayfair setting- it is a true hidden gem in the heart of the city. With its emphasis upon sustainability, our menu showcases local and organic produce from suppliers we know and trust.”

Vanessa MacDonald, Interior Designer at Melissa Wyndham Ltd, commented: “The Sotheby's cafe is a London institution and we wanted to give it a classic, timeless but modern twist to update it. After looking through the incredible Beaton Archive at Sotheby’s, we decided to frame and hang many more of these images to reflect the incredible clientele that Sotheby's have worked with over the years. We wanted the room to be sophisticated and comfortable with a nod to modern design - such as the beautiful Soane wall lights that refract light around the mirrored room."

To coincide with the Contemporary Art exhibition, the restaurant is offering Cornish Afternoon Tea from Friday 23rd June until including Thursday 29th June (weekend excluded). Please note that the full afternoon tea needs to be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

Diners can also enjoy a pan-European wine selection, carefully created by Serena Sutcliffe, M.W., Honorary Chairman, Sotheby’s Wine. Flexible wine-drinking is the byword at Sotheby’s Restaurant, as diners are welcome to experiment with new combinations by the glass, or bottle.  Alternatively, those with reason to celebrate can sample our very own Sotheby’s Blanc de Blancs Champagne, supremely elegant Champagne produced by Legras.
