Biography

Stéphanie Veyron - Deputy Director | Senior Specialist - has a 25 year experience in the art market. She joined Sotheby's in Paris in 2012 as a specialist in the European Sculpture and Works of Art department. After 5 years working independently and focusing on scholarship and providing research to private collectors and to the trade, she re-joined Sotheby’s in 2025 as a senior member of the team.

Over the course of her career, Stéphanie's research has led to the reattribution of several works to leading sculptors (Pierre Julien, Giuseppe Mazzuoli, Alessandro Algardi). She has also contributed to the success of major sales, such as Yves Saint Laurent – Pierre Bergé, Collection Schickler-Pourtalès, Bacri Frères Antiquaires, La Collection Ribes, as well as private sales to renowned public institutions (J. Paul Getty Museum, Musée du Louvre).

Stéphanie is also the author of exhibition catalogues on French sculpture, and has given training courses, notably on the Baroque in Rome, for the Chambre Nationale des Experts Spécialisés (CNES).
