Marina Georgiou

Marina Georgiou oversees the production team in London and supports the specialist departments in London and Geneva. She has coordinated many complex and high-profile valuations including the Royal Jewels from the Bourbon Parma Family which sold in our Geneva salerooms in November 2018.

Before joining Sotheby’s in 1997, Marina worked for a number of renowned art dealers, art agents, auction houses and art institutions. She researched and sourced the exhibits for the RIBA Drawings Collection exhibition ‘The Golden City’ in 1993, an exhibition on the architecture of Arthur Beresford Pite; as well as writing an essay for the accompanying exhibition catalogue.

Marina has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and European Literature and a Master’s degree in Western Art and Architecture 1400-1700, both from the University of Essex and a Master of Philosophy degree in Architectural History from the University of Greenwich.
