Jaden Katz

Jaden Katz joined Sotheby’s in 2023 and is Head of Sale for 19th-Century European Paintings in New York. She leads the department’s dedicated auctions and works closely with collectors to source, research, and value late 19th-century European paintings and works on paper. She specializes in French and Belgian Symbolist art. Before taking on her current role, she was a member of Sotheby’s Restitution team, with a focus on provenance research. She earned her B.A. in History and History of Art from the University of Michigan, where she received the department’s top prize for her senior honors thesis on the Salon de la Rose + Croix.
