Biography
Danielle Isaacs is Senior Vice President, Head of Department, Valuations at Sotheby’s, New York. She joined Sotheby’s in 2019 as a Senior Account Manager and became head of the department in 2022. Danielle works with collectors and fiduciaries, managing complex valuations for the purposes of sale, estate planning, charitable contribution, collateral loan, government indemnity and insurance. Danielle has overseen the valuations for notable collections such as the Wolf Family Collection and The Collection of Robin Bradley Martin, as well as many other private estates.
Prior to joining Sotheby’s, she worked as the Fine Art Specialist at an auction house in Washington, D.C. from 2012 - 2019, where she was the fine art specialist and appraiser, focusing on works ranging from Renaissance to Contemporary and an appraiser. During this time, she organized the largest sale of prints and sculpture by Elizabeth Catlett and oversaw the sale of property from the law firm Dewey & LeBoeuf. She also has experience running the vetting departments of several international art fairs as well as presenting to both groups of collectors and students.
Danielle holds a master’s degree in Fine and Decorative Art with merit from the Sotheby’s Institute in London and a bachelor of arts degree in Art History from Boston University. She has successfully completed the coursework and examination in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
