nkspiration: Chinese Paintings & Manuscripts Online will present nearly 160 Chinese paintings and calligraphy across classical, modern and contemporary eras. Following the outstanding results from the Autumn Sales, we will continue to present exceptional works from several private collections in the classical section, with a focus on paintings of ladies as well as mesmerizing landscape paintings on fan leaves from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Together, they deliver an elegant blend of literati taste and aesthetics. Several paintings from private Hong Kong collections will also be on offer, featuring Zhang Shen’s Landscapes, which depicts breathtaking mountains and waters in the Jiangnan area; as well as Shen Zengzhi’s Colophon of "Mingji Jieyi lu", which tells the story of Shen borrowing and researching into the copy of Mingji Jieyi lu (Legends of Honourable Men from the Ming Dynasty) he borrowed from Li Wentian’s library.
The modern section will assemble for the first time a dedicated literati paintings and manuscript series, presenting important manuscripts from revered writers, including Ba Jin, Gao Xingjian and Liu Yichang. An array of letters and calligraphies from modern and contemporary literati and scholars will also be on offer, among which include Ding Ling, Yang Jiang, Yu Kwang-chung, Yu Ying-shih, Ji Xianlin, Jin Yong (Louis Cha Leung-yung), Luo Fu and Leo Ou-fan Lee. All such works come with impeccable provenance.
The sale will also offer a series of important collections such as paintings and calligraphies from the family collection of Mr P.C. Tsao, Property from the Collection of Professor Kang and Jessica Chao, Property formerly in the Collection of Shanghai Antique and Curio Store, the Feng Kanghou Family Collection, as well as fan leaves formerly in the Collection of Peng Renfu. A number of contemporary ink paintings will also be on offer, including superior works from He Baili, Wong Hau Kwei, Chan Keng Tin, Huang Hongtao, Eric Jilan He, and Hu Yongkai.
「時代的跫音─中國書畫暨文人手迹網上拍賣」將推出近一百六十幀古代及近現代書畫。承秋拍佳績，古代書畫部分由多組私人收藏的小品領銜，涵蓋明清仕女畫作及山水扇面小幅，既有風雅品味，也富文人意趣，清新雅致。另輯有本地私人收藏書畫數幀，精選張深《山水冊》，描繪江南山川名勝；《明季節義錄》跋乃沈曾植於李文田泰華雙碑館處借閱《明季節義錄》，閱後撰此幅長跋闡述始末。
近現代書畫部分，首次推出文人手迹專題，包括巴金、高行健、劉以鬯等作家重要作品手稿，及丁玲、楊絳、余光中、余英時、季羡林、金庸、羅孚、李歐梵等現當代文人學者書札手迹，來源清晰，傳承有緒。
另將呈獻數輯重要收藏，如曹伯中先生家族收藏書畫、紅學家趙岡、陳鍾毅伉儷藏書畫、彭仁甫舊藏名家成扇、上海文物商店舊藏書畫、馮康侯家族收藏書畫。此外，亦具一系列當代水墨畫家，如何百里、黃孝逵、陳鏡田、黃紅濤、何紀嵐、胡永凱等作品。
