S otheby’s is pleased to announce the latest in our series of London online wine auctions, Vine | Two Epic Collections, now open for bidding.
We are delighted to bring to auction two remarkable collections of wine, bottles that can only be described as Textbook Beauties. These are magical wines, nearly all ready to be broached after a suitable time adapting to their new homes. The fact that they have been lovingly cared for by real wine lovers is an added plus.
Both collections feature rarities from Domaine de la Romanée Conti spanning five decades, including jeroboams from 1995. Bordeaux is well represented with an exceptional range of left and right bank gems covering the previous century to the modern day including First Growths, Petrus, and Le Pin.
The Sale continues with a selection of historic Bordeaux bottles spanning the previous century to the 2000s along with a small offering of Grand Cru Burgundy. The older Bordeaux was sourced from Sotheby’s and Christies throughout 2017 with the younger Bordeaux and Burgundy from several well-known UK wine merchants.
