The accounts "include reports by Canning, Aberdeen, Codrington, de Rigny, Dawkins, etc. and constitute an important source for contemporary Greek history. Of especial interest is the correspondence in part 4 with Leopold of Saxe-Coburg who was offered the Greek throne but declined" (Blackmer).
