Bust of Penelope
alabaster, with faux marbre wood pedestal
height: 22 in.; 55.88 cm
This bust shares characteristics with early 16th century alabaster sculpture from the Southern Netherlands. It is possible, therefore, that the sculpture has a Northern European origin.
The Lombard Family, Geneva, circa 1880/1900;
