with Hebrew blessing engraved on the octagonal rim above a chased band of shells and scrollwork, faceted baluster stem and scalloped domed base chased with flutes and shellwork band, marked on cup and foot

Heuschkel is the maker of a Torah Shield in the Israel Museum, no. 148/113, and another in the Jewish Museum New York, no. F876. A Hanukkah lamp by him is also in the Israel Museum, no. 118/363 & 688-9-48.


From the collection of Asher Frenkel, descended in the family. Asher was born in Poland and moved to Tel Aviv in the 1920s, successful businessman who collected art, Judaic and ancient coins.
