bronze, on a black marble base with gilt metal and gilt plaster mounts

base: 11cm., 4⅜in.
Further casts of this model are housed in Victoria and Albert Museum, London (inv. no. A.101-1956) and in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford (Penny, op. cit., no. 331), there paired with a male figure. A version in a private collection has been published with an attribution to Francesco Fanelli (Van Beneden, op. cit.).
